  • Clinical Assistant Professor of Athletic Training - University of Arkansas (FAY)

    The University of Arkansas Athletic Training program is searching for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Athletic Training, starting August 15, 2016.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Teach courses in Athletic Training
    • Assist Program Director and co-clinical coordinator with supervision of clinical education and maintaining CAATE accreditation
    • Advise both undergraduate and graduate students
    • Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and profession


    Minimum Qualifications
    • Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in athletic training or a related field
    • Board of Certification for Athletic Training certified and State of Arkansas license eligible
    • Evidence of teaching and mentoring experience


    The Athletic Training Education Program has a strong reputation for having quality students, high standards, and a student-centered faculty. The program bodes a 100% first-time pass rate on the BOC for Athletic Training certification exam for the last 6 years and 95% overall since initial accreditation in 2006. Over the past three years, the program has received an average of 60 prospective student applications per year. The faculty in the Athletic Training and Exercise Science programs are committed to providing experiential opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students, including research mentoring and interdisciplinary collaborations in the Human Performance Lab. The Athletic Training Education Program currently accepts 22 graduate students per year in a 2-year academic program. Our students represent a diverse background with academic interests in exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sport injury prevention. The Athletic Training and Exercise Science faculty have established collaboration with faculty in Nursing, Biological Science, Animal Science, Engineering, Physical Therapy and Environmental Life Sciences.
