For more information about the University, check our website: http://www.csun.edu Qualifications: Candidates must possess a doctorate in Kinesiology, PhysicalEducation or closely related field of study; ABD candidates will be consideredbut must have completed the doctorate before August 24, 2016. Other qualifications include: BOC, Inccertification; ability to teach a wide range of courses in athletic training;ability to teach in at least one subdiscipline of Kinesiology; demonstrated involvementin scholarship and publication; demonstrated ability to work collaborativelywithin and outside the university; evidence of a broad and balanced view of thediscipline of Kinesiology, valuing the biological, socio-cultural and aestheticknowledge of human movement; ability to work jointly with faculty within thedepartment and other units on the university campus. Applicants must demonstrate the ability andcommitment to working with a diverse student population. Preferred qualifications include successfulteaching experience at the college level. At time of appointment, the successfulcandidate, if not a U.S. citizen, must have authorization from the Bureau ofCitizenship and Immigration Services to work in the United States. Evidence of degree(s) required at timeof hire. Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate classes in the Athletic Training Program/Major; serveas Clinical Coordinator and assist in program administration; adviseundergraduate pre-professional and professional students; maintain an activeprogram of research and publication; serve on department, college anduniversity committees as appropriate; mentor students toward academic andprofessional objectives; develop working professional relationships with local,state, and national agencies and organizations to enhance clinical experiences,expand educational opportunities, and encourage collaborative research andsupport.
