The Department of Applied Human Sciences at the University of Minnesota Duluth invites candidates with teaching and research expertise in Motor Behavior to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin Fall 2016.
Responsibilities include teaching Exercise Science, research, service and other teaching related duties.
Start date is August 22, 2016
Required Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Motor Behavior, or related discipline from an accredited institution is required for the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The doctorate must be completed no later than July 1, 2016.
Requirements include: capacity for successful teaching at the university level, demonstrated excellence in written communication skills, and commitment to working with diverse populations.
Additional required qualifications for Associate Professor include: successful tenure granted at a previous accredited institution in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Motor Behavior, or related discipline and demonstrate a strong record of scholarship and teaching.

The curriculum of the degree programs reflect the accreditation standards of the various disciplines. Students graduate from these degree programs with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) degree. There are currently over 500 majors enrolled in the degree programs offered by the department. The students in the programs come from Minnesota, Wisconsin and across the Midwest.
