    Job Description: Full-time faculty position in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science. The qualified individual will teach primarily in the Applied Exercise Science major.

    Responsibilities:
    · Excellent teaching at the undergraduate level in a Christian University setting. Potential courses may include anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics and discipline-specific writing courses.
    · Provide service for the program, department, and university.
    · Participate in research that engages students and colleagues in the department and school.


    Level: Faculty level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications: A terminal degree in kinesiology or related field is preferred; ABD candidates and Master’s degree will be considered. Candidates should have a strong commitment to quality teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate program and have a desire to conduct research in their area of expertise.

    Experience: Specific professional expertise and teaching experience must be related to Anatomy, Kinesiology, and Biomechanics. Preference will be given to candidates with college-level teaching experience.

    Workload: Faculty will teach 27 units for a 10-month contract or 29 units for an 11-month contract. Clinical practice and supervision units may also be assigned.

    · Ability to integrate Christian values in all aspects.
    · Ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment.
    · Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information.
    · Self-starter, ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
