The College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College invites applications for two full-time faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training beginning in fall 2016. We are looking for colleagues who will help us to continue building on the College’s tradition of excellence in physical therapy (PT), athletic training (AT), rehabilitation sciences, clinical practice, and scholarship.

Tenure-track faculty at Boston University are expected to teach, carry out independent research, and participate in service. A successful candidate will have a research program that has potential for ongoing support by external funding. Research pertaining to the department initiatives in sports medicine, community-based interventions, or neuroscience are particularly sought, but all research lines related to PT and AT are welcome. Successful candidates will have a well-defined vision of their research goals and have demonstrated success in work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications include:
  • Earned research doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, EdD or equivalent)
  • Post-doctoral experience (preferred)
  • Professional degree and current licensure in PT (preferred)
  • Clear potential for an externally-funded research program
  • Peer-reviewed journal publications
  • Teaching experience at the college/university level
