The Biomechanics PhD program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville is seeking applicants for a graduate teaching assistantship starting fall 2016.
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will contribute to undergraduate lab instruction in Biomechanics and/or Applied Anatomy. Teaching experience in these areas would be beneficial, but is not required. In addition to the teaching responsibilities, continuous involvement in ongoing research activities in the Biomechanics Lab is expected.

Qualifications:
- Obtained a master’s degree, with thesis, before fall 2016 in biomechanics, kinesiology, biomedical engineering, or related field.
- Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with biomechanical data collection.
- Experience with computer programming (e.g. MatLab, LabView, or C++).
- Experience with musculoskeletal modeling applications (e.g. OpenSim) is preferred.
Current research in the Biomechanics Lab includes:
- lower extremity injury mechanics (ACL, lateral ankle sprain, etc.)
- biomechanical characteristics of ACL deficient and reconstructed knees
