PhD opportunity in intervertebral disc research
We are seeking a motivated student to join the Experimental Tissue Mechanics Research Group in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, University of Auckland for doctoral studies focusing on the area of intervertebral disc research. The project will involve both micromechanical analysis and structural studies conducted at the macro, micro and ultrastructural (SEM) levels.
The research will be conducted under the supervision of Professor Neil Broom and Associate Professor Ashvin Thambyah and is fully funded for both both the payment of doctoral fees and a 3-year tax free stipend of $25000/year. It also will include some funded travel opportunities.
