    The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Louisville is seeking an experienced Research Lab Manager to manage the operational activities for a pediatric research laboratory with the Kosair Charities Center for Pediatric NeuroRecovery.

    Specific responsibilities of this position include:
    • Direct research lab operations to ensure timely and effective completion of all planned activities and projects
    • Manage research lab including use of EMG, motion analysis, force plates and other research technology
    • Manage efficient and high quality acquisition, storage, analysis and presentation of research data
    • Ensure all projects have acquisition and analysis protocols in place
    • Establish administrative policies and procedures to facilitate research activities
    • Assist in developing research proposals and preparing papers and/or reports for publication and presentation
    • Assist in design of new equipment and protocols and coordinate the development and/or implementation of new equipment/protocols
    • Oversee supervision of Research Technicians - selection, assignment, and performance appraisals

    Master's degree required in biomechanics, kinesiology, physiology, neuroscience or related field with four years' experience. Specific experience working in laboratory setting with pediatric population preferred. This position is comparable to managing a gait lab with other kinematic and physiological experiments/assessments.
