PhD Position in Biomechanics and Motor Control at Purdue University

A PhD Position is available for Fall 2016 in the Biomechanics lab at Purdue University. We are a diverse group of researchers involved in work ranging from balance, bipedal locomotion, movement coordination and timing, to human prehension mechanics. The work culture is highly interactive, and students have opportunities to contribute to various ongoing projects. The successful candidate will focus on prehensile mechanics. Please visit here for descriptions of ongoing activities.

Candidates with strong computational skills (calculus, differential equations, linear algebra etc.; physics; Matlab or similar programming experience) are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in analysis of human movement data and/or associated fields such as robotics, neuroscience etc. is desirable, but not required.

If you are interested and would like additional information, please email Dr. Satyajit Ambike ( with (1) a letter of interest, (2) a detailed CV, (3) contact information of three individuals who can serve as references, and (4) GRE and TOEFL scores (if applicable).
