Updated: Queensland Academy of Sport/University of the Sunshine Coast Research Scholarship
As part of the university’s strategic plan for high performance sport, a consortium including the University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, the Melbourne Storm NRL club, and the Sunshine Coast Council put in a bid for one of the three new teams that will form part of the new eight team Australian elite netball competition that will commence in 2017. This bid was successful! In light of this exciting news, the Queensland Academy of Sport/University of the Sunshine Coast Research Scholarship is being re-advertised to identify a talented research student to focus on netball landing research in a full-time Master of Science programme.
Our multidisciplinary research team in the School of Health and Sport Sciences has a proven track record of sports science research in netball with numerous publications in well regarded peer reviewed journals. This scholarship position provides a fantastic opportunity for a keen and enthusiastic individual to join our team as we continue to undertake both applied and theoretically driven research in netball and plan the provision of sports science support services to the University’s new team.
Please note that this position is only open to a domestic student (Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand citizen). See the link below for further information about the project, eligibility and selection criteria, and the contact details for the coordinator of the project.
