    A funded PhD in the Department of kinesiology at Laval University is available immediately. The proposed research will allow a new PhD student to work on theoretical and experimental approaches to human sensorimotor control.

    The post holder will be located in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.

    The successful applicant will be expected to conduct research involving computational and experimental studies in motor control in humans. Candidates should have obtained or be close to obtaining a MS in kinesiology, neuroscience, psychology, or biomedical engineering relevant to sensorimotor control, with an academic record of scientific excellence and a strong interest in an interdisciplinary approach to human motor control. The candidate is expected to be a talented, enthusiastic, willing-to-learn researcher with a strong technical background, and interest in applying his/her skills to neuroscience. Programming skills in Matlab and some exposure to EEG, EMG and kinetic/kinematic are assets. A strong mathematical, statistical, and/or computational background is desirable. Basic skills in French is mandatory.

    Fixed-term: The funds for this position are available for 3 years.
