  • last call: PhD studentship, McGill's Occupational Biomechanics and Ergonomics Lab

The Occupational Biomechanics and Ergonomics Lab (OBEL) of McGill University (https://www.mcgill.ca/edu-kpe/facilities/obel) is welcoming applications from future doctoral thesis students. Funding is available for experimental projects focusing on the quantification of sensorimotor characteristics associated with the muscle fatigue response, with special interest in sex/gender, and aging effects.

Background in kinesiology (biomechanics), rehabilitation science, or biomedical engineering required. Applicants would ideally have experience with Vicon motion capture, electromyographical data acquisition and analysis, and programming (Matlab). As well, you have to comply with the general graduate entrance criteria for McGill University, which can be found here: http://www.mcgill.ca/gradapplicants/apply/prepare/requirements. References will be checked and a Skype interview will be conducted.

McGill University is located in the cosmopolitan city of Montreal, Canada, and is one of the leading Universities worldwide.

Application deadline for Fall semester admission: February 15th. If you are interested, please contact Dr. Cote (julie.cote2@mcgill.ca) as soon as possible.
