    Graduate Program Director-Occupational Therapy, Tenure-track Faculty
    Lewis University is seeking a visionary, experienced, and innovative founding Director for its new Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) Program, currently under development. This 12-month, tenure track position, reporting to the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, begins August 2016. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

    Responsibilities: The founding Director will develop and implement the new MSOT program consistent with accreditation standards established by ACOTE and develop the curriculum and provide leadership in pursuing and maintaining ongoing accreditation. The Director will also collaborate with the Dean in recruiting, hiring, leading, and overseeing relevant department personnel, including Field Coordinator and Faculty for the MSOT Program. The founding Director will be responsible for pursuing academic excellence and integrity within the program; promoting excellence in teaching and facilitating assessment across the curriculum; teaching as required.

    Qualifications: An earned doctorate (PhD; EdD; or OTD); minimum of six years clinical practice as an occupational therapist with a demonstrated knowledge of current occupational therapy practice; at least two years’ experience in a full-time academic appointment with college level teaching experience is required. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Illinois and have NBCOT certification. Preferred qualifications include: administrative experience, including but not limited to, personnel management, budgeting, and program planning, implementation, evaluation, and accreditation; and a recognized record of scholarship.
