Prof. Greg Sawicki and the NC State/UNC Chapel Hill Human Physiology of Wearable Robotics (PoWeR) Laboratory seek a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in human locomotion neuromechanics and energetics to work on projects evaluating muscle-level response of humans to lower-limb exoskeletons during walking and running.
The ideal candidate will have specific expertise in combining experimental gait data including measurement of muscle-tendon dynamics (e.g. via ultrasound imaging) with computational modeling/simulation (e.g. OpenSim) approaches. Experience with biomechatronic system maintenance and design would also be a plus.
The desired start date is ~July 2016, renewable for up to 3 years based on yearly performance reviews.
More information about our group and approach can be found at: http://hpl.bme.unc.edu/
Additional project information is available upon request.
If you are interested, please send an email with your CV, brief statement of interest, and a few representative publications to Greg Sawicki, greg_sawicki@ncsu.edu
