Liverpool John Moores University has announced the process for University Funded PhD studentships. The key criteria is the quality of the potential PhD candidate student CV. In essence the student applies via a link with a Director of Studies and must also propose a topic. This is for FT scholarships only and can only be awarded to UK home or EU students. Candidates must develop their CV to the highest standard possible (in the last round there were 12 awards from ~100 applications so the competition is tough and the candidates need to stand out through top grades, awards, publications etc ).
These studentships should be awarded in April/May for enrolment in September.
