The Institute of Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Sciences (IVABS) at Massey University, Palmerston North, NZ invites applications for the position of Research Technician – Veterinary Musculoskeletal Modelling. A range of innovative and world-leading research is performed at IVABS.
This is a one-year, internally-funded position (NZ$ 36,020 – 53,285). As the Research Technician you will support research into musculoskeletal modelling in veterinary anatomy and biomechanics, using the proprietary AnyBody® software. See www.anybodytech.com
Ideally you would have a good background in mechanics or mechatronics and hold a relevant degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. The AnyBody® platform is supported with AnyScript, a C++ -like programming language, and so working knowledge of C++ would be recommended. You must possess initiative, flexibility, effective communication skills and be able to work constructively within a team environment with other staff and graduate students.
