Post-Doc assistant at TU-Wien (Vienna University of Technology)
The Institute of Lightweight Design and Structural Biomechanics at the TU-Wien, Computational Biomechanics Group, is offering a full-time position (40 hours/week) for a post-doc university assistant for six years. The estimated starting date is Sept. 1, 2016.
Entry level salary as a postdoctoral researcher is covered by level B1 of the Austrian Collective Agreement for university staff, and currently amounts to a minimum of EUR 3.590,70 EUR/month gross, 14 times/year.
Qualifications:
A PhD in the field of mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering (specialization in biomechanics) or a related discipline is a prerequisite. The successful candidate will work in the field of computational bone biomechanics, in particular, in the image-based finite element modelling and experimental validation of human bone models. Previous experience in bone biomechanics, image processing, finite element modelling, computer programming (FORTRAN/C++ and Python), cadaveric validation experiments, and multiscale modelling is highly desirable. Good command of English and German language is required.
