    Physical Therapy Site Coordinator: The Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy (DPT) is seeking a highly qualified physical therapist for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor or a non-tenure Clinical Instructor faculty position to serve as a faculty member and site coordinator for the DPT program in Houghton, MI. The PT program at Central Michigan University (CMU) is collaborating with Michigan Technological University (MTU) to offer the CMU DPT on the campus of MTU. We provide simultaneous interactive programming for 12 PT students per cohort.

    Professional opportunities abound in this collaboration, especially for the individual interested in fostering interdisciplinary research between Physical Therapy and the Engineering or Kinesiology and Integrative Physiology programs at MTU.

    Houghton is a wonderful, small college community perfect for the active outdoor enthusiast looking for ready access to water, wilderness, hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, hunting, fishing, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, dog sledding, snowmobiling, sailing and just about any other outdoor sport you can think of. The area is especially known for its world-class mountain biking and cross country skiing and the vast expanses of Michigan's Upper Peninsula wilderness.

    Start Date of August 2016 is preferred but negotiable. Required credentials include Clinical degree in Physical Therapy (DPT), or other clinical PT degree (BS, MS or equivalent) combined with an academic doctorate; demonstrated clinical experience in physical therapy practice; successful college teaching or clinical preceptor experience; adept leadership skills; effective oral and written communication skills; demonstrated commitment to diversity; must be eligible for physical therapy licensure in Michigan. For the tenure track position an earned doctoral degree (PhD, EdD or equivalent) at the time of employment is required.
