The Motion & Sport Performance Laboratory at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford has two openings for individuals to collect, process and analyze human movement biomechanics data. The 2700 sq. ft. laboratory recently opened in Sunnyvale, CA, and has a 14-camera Motion Analysis system with 5 force plates, a Zebris Quasar pressure mat instrumented treadmill, and a 6-camera portable MAC system. The Motion & Sport Performance Laboratory is focused on providing objective human movement data on injury prevention, movement disorders, performance enhancement, postoperative rehabilitation effectiveness, and return to sport decisions. The Laboratory serves the Children’s Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center – Stanford, covering the full range of pediatric orthopedic pathologies.

#5151 Position 1: The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in exercise science, athletic training, exercise physiology, kinesiology, movement science, bioengineering or similar area. Preference will be given to ATCs with master's degrees and sports biomechanics expertise. Experience with motion capture systems, a strong knowledge of human anatomy, and the ability to interact effectively with young child, adolescent and adult clients are required. Orthopedic treatment decision-making, return to sport, and injury prevention experience is highly desired.
