Research Assistant (Rugby Union) Data Scientist / Machine Learning Specialist
A full-time Data Science position (1 year fixed-term) is available to support a collaborative research project between Cardiff Metropolitan University and World Rugby. The project aims to; examine the subsequent injury risk following concussion in professional Rugby Union players, and to develop an associated software analysis tool using machine learning.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a collaborative project between Cardiff Metropolitan University and World Rugby. Optimising concussion prevention and management is a priority within Rugby and this project will build upon existing sports and exercise medicine research into injury management by examining injury risk following concussion via analysis of a large injury surveillance database.
Salary: £28,982 to £31,656 per annum
