Now seeking interested persons for up to two (2) positions – at the research engineer and/or post-doctoral level – to help conduct new Industry and Federally funded engineering studies of head impact kinematics and their influence on concussion risk in athletes and military members.

The positions are located in Cleveland, OH USA and will involve collaborating with Cleveland Clinic, Prevent Biometrics and Federal Agencies.

Salary is negotiable, and will be based on the applicants experience, education and training.

Benefits (health, dental) will be provided.

The positions are for at least one year, but may be renewed based on performance, funding availability and applicant interest.

Required:
  • Fluent speaker, reader and writer in English
  • BS in one of the following disciplines and at least 6 months of co-op or internship experience in industry
    • Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering
    • Civil Engineering
    • Electrical/Computer Engineering
    • Engineering Mechanics
    • Engineering Physics
    • Materials Science Engineering
    • Mathematics
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Physics


Or,
  • Fluent speaker, reader and writer in English
  • BS and MS in one of the above disciplines


Desired:
  • BS, MS and PhD in one of the disciplines above
  • Proficient in fundamentals of:
    • Engineering mathematics
    • Rigid body dynamics
    • Computational simulation (LS-DYNA, MADYMO, ANSYS, etc.)
    • Analysis of kinematic signals
    • Data acquisition/signal processing (including Labview and Matlab)
    • Fluent speaker, reader and writer in English

  • Record of submitting external grant applications
  • Record of publishing in peer reviewed journals
