In support of our significant investment in Sport and Exercise Science we are seeking to appoint an inspiring and ambitious individual to be involved in teaching and research. You will be part of the developments in Sport and Exercise Science at Newcastle University and will contribute to the growth of the academic discipline of Sport and Exercise Science within our Faculty of Medical Sciences. Teaching commitments will be primarily on the new BSc in Sport and Exercise Sciences. There will also be scope to contribute to the development and support of other programmes. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to research and enterprise and to demonstrate a developing independent research profile.
You will have a PhD in Sport Psychology and a strong teaching and a research background in the discipline area.
You will have the ability to engage in high quality research as well as the ability to engage counselling skills and provide pastoral care where appropriate.
Appointments will be in the School of Biomedical Sciences with affiliation to one of our research institutes as appropriate.
