PM&R Physician Scientist
The Penn State Hershey Medical Center is seeking an accomplished clinical biomechanist to expand our rehabilitation research mission. Although a board certified physiatrist is preferred, exceptional non-physician researchers will be considered. Research space and a substantial start-up package will be provided in our newly built 4,500 ft2 Rehabilitation Research Laboratories comprised of Exercise, Body Composition, Locomotor Training and Gait Labs. The clinical researcher will have access to the 98-bed Penn State Hershey Rehabilitation Hospital and The Penn State Hershey Medical Center, a 500-bed tertiary care teaching hospital and level 1 trauma center with 700 physicians, NIH-funded Center for Translational Science Institute and the Penn State Neurosciences Institute. Hershey is a suburban community of 20,000 in a metropolitan area of 400,000 in one of the fastest growing regions in the state. It is approximately twelve miles from Harrisburg, the state capital and largest employer in the Commonwealth.
