    Assistant or Associate Professor in Exercise Science
    Location: Austin, TX

    The University of Texas Department of Kinesiology & Health Education is seeking applications from outstanding academic research scientists for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position or a tenured Associate Professor position in our Exercise Science program.

    The Exercise Science program is multidisciplinary and conducts scholarly research and teaching in exercise physiology, anatomy, neuromuscular control, biomechanics, motor learning/development, and sport psychology. The program offers both Doctoral and Master’s degrees as well as an undergraduate degree. For more details, see our web site:




    Candidates must hold a PhD in Exercise Science or a closely related field. Applicants are expected to have a demonstrated track record of publications reflecting evidence of an existing line of scholarly research, and a record of external funding or potential to obtain external funding. Post-doctoral training or independent research experience is strongly preferred. A strong commitment to teaching and mentoring, as well as outstanding leadership, organizational and communication skills are essential.

    Exceptional candidates working in any of the Exercise Science program’s focus areas are encouraged to apply. However, for the current search, preference will be given to individuals whose research focuses on pediatric exercise science topics related to healthy children or adolescents and/or those with physical/neurological impairments.
