The Department of Exercise Science and Sport (EXSC) atthe University of Scranton is now accepting applications for a nine-month,tenure-track, Assistant Professor position to begin Fall 2017. The successfulcandidate will teach courses within the EXSC program including but not limitedto Biomechanics in Human Movement, Applied Anatomy and Kinesiology, andResearch Methods.
Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in biomechanics,kinesiology, or a related field. ABD applicants will be consideredat the rank of instructor, with completion expected within 18 months ofappointment.
Preferred qualifications include abackground in sport biomechanics, possession of the CSCS certification throughthe National Strength and Conditioning Association, evidence of scholarly researchproductivity, and previous undergraduate teaching experience. The successful candidate is expected tomaintain a productive research agenda in addition to teaching responsibilitiesand service to the University, local, and professional communities.
