The Center for Translation of Rehabilitation Engineering Advances and Technology (TREAT at treatcenter.org) is seeking candidates for our Entrepreneur Fellowship program. We are looking for candidates who have an interest in entrepreneurship and would like to work with TREAT staff and clients while learning about the process of commercializing new technologies. Candidates who have their own rehabilitation or assistive device ideas will be welcome to explore those as well. TREAT has developed this program to encourage the rapid adoption of our core principals of commercialization in order to understand the risks involved and the resources and skill sets needed to bring an idea or device to market.
This is a paid Fellowship lasting from 6 to 12 months. Although the Fellowship focuses on commercialization of rehabilitation and assistive technologies, the commercialization and business development skills Fellows acquire can be applied to almost any entrepreneurial endeavor. Because the rehabilitation and assistive technology space is highly specialized and difficult to fund, TREAT's commercialization technology focuses heavily on risk avoidance strategies that are universal to any lean startup.
Application deadline is November 15, 2016
