The Medical Device Research Institute within the Faculty of Science and Engineering of The Flinders University of South Australia has an opening for a full-time PhD student starting in 2017. The student will contribute to research to investigate mechanisms underlying hip fractures and development of innovative diagnostic and exercise interventions. The position is fully funded. The student will use a range high-resolution imaging modalities, advanced six-degree-of-freedom test and micro-finite-element techniques to explore the deformation and fracture mechanism in the human femur.
