    The University is seeking a dynamic individual with energy and vision to be Head of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences to lead and direct the progress of the School from its current position of strength.

    As a high-profile role within the University, it provides academic and professional leadership within the context of the Faculty and the University’s values, mission and strategic plan to ensure the effective governance of academic schools.

    You will be able to demonstrate academic leadership (or professional equivalent) and have a strong track record of educational achievements related to teaching. You will have the proven ability to lead and inspire a team and work with vision and foresight successfully, as well as having experience of actively contributing to the leadership and development of an organization or key function at a strategic or senior management level.
    Competitive salary based on the Management and Professorial scale which starts at £62,229 per annum. You will also receive an annual Head of School allowance of £8,400. Term: 3 years, with a possibility of a second 3 year term. The position of Professor of Sport and Exercise Sciences attached to this position is an on-going position.
