    The Computational Medicine and Biology (CMB) Division of CFD Research Corporation (CFDRC, is developing software tools for research projects related to human biomechanics, physiology, and performance. We are seeking undergraduate or graduate students to fill internship positions (or potentially permanent positions based on skills and availability) in musculoskeletal modeling and biomechanical data analysis.

    Job Description
    The candidate will be involved in modeling and simulation of human biodynamics and physiology (e.g. human movement and energetics, musculoskeletal fatigue/pain/injury, etc.). The job responsibilities include:
    • Processing and analyzing biomechanical data generated from motion capture systems
    • Development or improvement of human musculoskeletal models and simulations of human motions (walk, run, push/pull, etc.).
    • Formulation and implementation of mathematical models of human anthropometry, biomechanics and physiology.
    • Writing project reports.

    Requirement/Desired Skills
    • Undergraduate or graduate students in mechanical/biomedical engineering, or a related field
    • Prior experience in biomechanics/dynamics (modeling & simulation, or experiments) is a plus
    • Good programming skills is a plus
