The Movement Optimization and Variability for Exercise Sustainment (MOVES) Laboratory at The Ohio State University is seeking applicants for the doctoral program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, to begin Fall 2017. Ongoing research is focused on an interdisciplinary approach to improving sports performance and injury prevention. Full funding is available for this position to support tuition, health insurance, and a stipend. This position will be primarily responsible for leading screening and intervention efforts at local Columbus high schools, teaching/involvement in athletic training curriculum, and providing clinical care for high school athletes.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Athletic Trainer
- Master degree in athletic training, exercise science, biomechanics, or related field
- Desire to develop and implement screening tools
- High level of self-motivation
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with experimental design and statistical analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient with statistical software (SPSS, Minitab, SAS)
- Strong technical writing, presentation and communication skills
- Peer reviewed conference and/or journal publications
- Clinical experience working with high school athletes
