Description

Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunity in neuromuscular research and rehabilitation sciences. Our current focus is on understanding the mixed effect of age and gender on the basic properties along the neuromuscular axis in the healthy population, an interplay between the endocrine and neurophysiologic domains.

The successful candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team consisting of Yasin Dhaher, Ph.D., the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and the Biomedical Engineering Department at Northwestern University, Ellen Casey, MD. at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania, Lynn Rogers, Ph.D. at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Teresa Woodruff, Ph.D. at the Department of Endocrinology at Northwestern University.

Qualification

1. A professional level of knowledge in human movement and motor control generally acquired through the completion of a Ph.D. Degree in Neurophysiology, Physical Therapy,
Kinesiology, Biomedical Engineering or related fields.
2. Require knowledge in neurophysiology.
3. Required working knowledge in clinical research.
4. Knowledge and experience in statistical and experimental design.
5. Working knowledge in Matlab is preferable.
6. Analytical abilities necessary to understand complex problems and to resolve these problems through the application of appropriate approaches.
