  • PhD/Post-Doc opportunities at Virginia Commonwealth U

    PhD and Post-doc positions are available Fall 2017 through the Applied Movement Performance Lab in the Department of Physical Therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).

    Candidates will work on several projects investigating adaptation and optimization of locomotion in persons with lower extremity amputation. Candidates with a background in clinical health sciences (MD, PT, prosthetics, etc.), biomedical engineering, and/or related field in biomechanics or neuroscience are preferred. Clinical experience and/ or prior work in a motion analysis lab is desirable but not required. Opportunities will exist to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and academic faculty at VCU, VCU medical center and Hunter Holmes McGuire VA medical center.

    Funding is available for deserving candidates (US citizenship required for post-doc position). Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
