The laboratory UTC CNRS UMR 7338 Biomechanics and Bioengineering (http://www.utc.fr/bmbi/) at the University of Technology of Compiègne (France) invites applications for a Master internship to begin at March 2017. The position will be awarded for 6 months.
Title : Uncertainty quantification in image-based tissue characterization
Description : Image-based tissue characterization plays an important role in the understanding of biological tissue structure-function relationship. This allows subject/patient specific bio-material information to be extracted from medical images. However, the extraction process is influenced and affected by many types of uncertainties coming from the processing pipeline. The objective of this project is to develop a novel approach to model these uncertainties and perform their propagation in the characterization pipeline to quantity their effect on the characterization outcomes.
Job salary: ~500 euros per month.
Candidates profile: Master Student in Computational Biomechanics/Mechanics, Applied Mathematics
The candidate needs have the following experiences:
Tissue characterization from medical images
Advanced programming experiences in Matlab
To apply, please send to tien-tuan.dao@utc.fr and hobatho@utc.fr the following documents:
- Curriculum vitae and motivation letter
- Academic Transcript
The closing date for the application is no later than 19 February 2017.
