Applications are being accepted for the Ph.D. in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation at Old Dominion University (ODU), Norfolk, VA for fall 2017. Graduate research assistantships are available. The deadline for applications is Feb. 28th.
The Ph.D. in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation at ODU is designed for students with a kinesiology/exercise science background as well as rehabilitation professionals (athletic trainers, occupational therapists, physical therapists or speech/language pathologists) who are interested in becoming leaders, teachers and scholars in their respective fields. This inter-professional program features faculty from the College of Health Sciences and the College of Education. The curriculum's core has a focus on motor control and motor learning as applied to the performance of daily functional activities (e.g., balance, gait, reaching and grasping, speech) and sporting activities (e.g., running, tackling), as well as the rehabilitation of individuals with physical or neurological impairments.

Highly motivated students who are interested in developing their research skills and understanding of movement control and biomechanics in healthy, aging and patient populations are encouraged to apply.
