    Job description


    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a C2 Higher Scientific Officer.

    As the successful candidate you will be required to work as a research scientist on the Academic Department of Military Rehabilitation (ADMR) at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court.

    Your remit is to undertake research into musculoskeletal sports and training injury and trauma medicine, advise on statistical methods and research design, and assist the clinical research manager and head of research with the day to day running of the department.

    You should possess or be nearing completion of a PhD, with significant research experience and evidence of a publication record.

    Expertise in biomechanical 3D motion capture and clinical gait analysis techniques is essential and experience in the use of Vicon, Visual3D, and MATLAB desirable.

    Training as a clinical scientist and previous military experience is desirable but not essential. DMRC Headley Court will relocate to the Defence National Rehabilitation Centre at Stanford Hall in the East Midlands in late 2018.
