    The Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences (PTHMS), Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, invites applicants for a new full-time appointment in a tenure track position in the area of Pediatrics. An emphasis on quantitative human studies related to pediatric movement control with implications for rehabilitation will be considered a strength. Teaching responsibilities will involve team-teaching in the lifespan course in our Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum and in affiliated PhD training programs—more specifically, the DPT-PhD in Engineering programs and the neuroscience-movement & rehab sciences (NUIN-MRS). The position also includes student advising, scholarship, and service on departmental committees. This position is being offered at the assistant or associate professor level. Salary is negotiable. Ideal applicants will hold a PhD/PT or PhD, with 2 or more years of post-doctoral experience and strong scholarly productivity.

    Applicants should have a strong quantitative background (engineering preferred) and will be expected to develop and maintain a distinguished externally-funded research program and contribute to the teaching and advising of graduate students (physical therapy, engineering and neuroscience). There will be a possibility to have secondary appointments in Biomedical Engineering and Pediatrics. The collaborative environment at Northwestern University is exceptionally strong, with opportunities for interactions with faculty in additional departments including the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Neurological Surgery, Neurology, Psychiatry, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Physiology and Orthopedic Surgery. Appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor will be considered. Salary is commensurate with experience.
