Overview
CCM Hockey is looking for a summer intern (May to September 2017) to work in our Performance Lab located in our head office in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. In collaboration with the Biomechanics Research Developer, the intern will assist in the collection, post-processing, and analysis of motion capture data. Additionally, they will assist in developing new biomechanical assessments and analyses.

Key Responsibilities
· Work alongside professional hockey players to collect shooting performance data, allowing us to better understand the optimal mechanics of the player and stick
· Assist with motion capture data collection (marker placement, administration of test protocols, data analysis, etc.)
· Develop and maintain software routines for data acquisition and analysis
· Provide feedback and recommendations on new research project ideas and the development of new test protocols

Skills and Abilities
· Degree in Biomechanics, Engineering or related technology field completed or in progress
· Experience programming in MATLAB/python, a strong asset
· Experience in a biomechanics lab or with motion capture technology a strong asset
· Knowledge of the hockey world or a desire to learn
· Ability to work independently and take initiative
· Bilingualism (French, English-essential)
· Some evenings and weekends may be required
· Ability to travel within the United States required
· Salary of 15 to 18$/hour based on experience
