About Anglia Ruskin University:
Anglia Ruskin is a vibrant workplace and our University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally. We have ambitious plans for the future and we are determined that our students and staff will realise their full potential. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investment. With an annual turnover of over £200m, we are a major force for higher education and one of the largest universities in the East of England.
About the role:
Our Medical Engineering Research Group (MERG) seeks to advance research in musculoskeletal and vascular diseases as well as in medical devices through the application of engineering in medicine. MERG has attracted a grant from the Arthritis Research UK Foundation to further develop a computational model to specify surgical correction for knee realignment for the treatment of osteoarthritis. You’ll work within a team of researchers and collaborators from leading institutions outside our University on this project, publish in peer-reviewed journals and disseminate your research at both national and international conferences.
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and Research Collaborators, you’ll conduct the day-to-day research activities to meet the target of the project. You’ll be instrumental in the dissemination of the research findings of the group through conference presentations and published papers. You’ll also assist with the supervision of doctoral candidates and student projects and will contribute to scholarly and research culture and activities of the Medical Engineering Research Group (MERG), Department of Engineering and the Built Environment and the Faculty of Science and Technology.
