Forensic Biomechanics - Automobile Impact Injury Biomechanics
Position Description: Injury biomechanics analyses in automobile collisions integrating vehicle collision dynamics, occupant dynamics, injury mechanics, and restraint system use and effectiveness.
Company: VSI (Vector Scientific, Inc.) is a forensic consulting firm that conducts injury biomechanics and accident reconstruction analyses in automobile, sport/recreation, and industrial/occupational accidents. Degree Required: M.S. or Ph.D. in Biomechanical/Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanics/Kinesiology, or a closely related science.
Experience Required: Specialized education, research, and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: automobile collision dynamics, occupant injury biomechanics, crash injury prevention, crash injury databases (e.g. NASS-CDS), restraint systems, accident reconstruction.
Additional Skills: The job requires the ability to work individually and as part of a team. Strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written) are required. People who succeed in this position enjoy challenges, diversity, and problem-solving.
Compensation: The position will offer a competitive salary commensurate with the candidate's education, training, background, and experience along with a benefits package including a health plan (medical/dental/vision) and a 401(k) retirement plan.
