Researcher in movement analysis from worn sensors, Reading University, UK

The position is to look at movement reconstruction from a constellation of inertia sensors, primarily accelerometers, that are attached to an individual to monitor health related movements, for example the indicators of a near fall in individuals with Parkinsons. The position is primarily to consider the combined problem of movement reconstruction and activity classification. A successful candidate would ideally have experience in areas such as state estimation and machine learning. This work is in collaboration with the Universities of Bristol and Southampton and is part of the Sphere project http://www.irc-sphere.ac.uk
