The Director of the laboratory is Daniel Ferris, Ph.D. (https://www.bme.ufl.edu/people/ferris_daniel). The research focus of the laboratory is on human locomotion, both in health and disability, with particular emphases on robotic exoskeletons, bionic prostheses, and mobile brain imaging.

Research Engineer: We are looking for a well-organized, dependable individual to conduct biomechanics and neurophysiology research on human subjects. She/he will be responsible for maintaining all laboratory equipment (motion analysis, force treadmill, force plates, EMG, EEG, robotic hardware, metabolics, etc.), setting up and troubleshooting equipment, writing computer programs, collecting & analyzing experimental data, supervising undergraduate researchers, coordinating laboratory calendar, and training new lab members on equipment use and laboratory procedures. Additional duties will include conducting general library research; writing and maintaining laboratory IRB protocols, and minor clerical work. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Kinesiology, or Neuroscience required. Master's degree preferred. Experience with computer programming (Matlab, Simulink), electronics troubleshooting, motion analysis, EEG, EMG, Visual 3D, and/or robotic hardware and control is desirable.
    Start Date: June 1 - August 15, 2017
