Summary:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a 3 year funded PhD at the Institute of Neuroscience, Newcastle University in the context of the Innovative Training Network (ITN) KEEP CONTROL.
The project as a whole aims to advance the knowledge base needed to develop the role of clinical gait analysis to improve diagnosis and patient management of neurodegenerative disease conditions.
The successful applicant will be employed at Newcastle University and enrolled onto a PhD.
The PhD student will analyse wearable sensor data to characterise multivariate gait profiles in neurodegenerative disease cohorts and develop models to classify disease and track progression profiles in order to enhance management of neurodegenerative disease.
