    Performance Engineering Biomechanics Temp

    Boston | United States | Global Operations[COLOR=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.8)]Purpose:
    The Reebok Human Performance Engineering Lab (HPEL) ensures that Reebok products meet the functional demands of athletes by:
    • Acting as the functional advocate of product and athletes to the in-line teams
    • Researching, testing, and understanding the performance needs of athletes and the effects of product on performance
    • Conducting performance tests (mechanical, biomechanical, physiological, and sensory) of components, footwear, and apparel.

    Key Accountabilities:
    • Assist other HPEL team members with their projects
    • Work on assigned projects
    • Run research studies to quantify the effects of footwear and apparel in support of all categories (training, running, studio, combat, etc.)
    • Collect and analyze biomechanical and mechanical test data
    • Document and present findings and recommendations
    • Setup and maintain laboratory and sports equipment
    • Recruit subjects

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Human research experience required
    • A strong understanding of how mechanical principles relate to sport
    • performance, injury, and, various materials
    • Experience collecting and processing biomechanical data (force plates, accelerometers, pressure sensors, motion capture, etc…)
    • MATLAB computer programming experience
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

    1. Working towards a Masters or Doctorate Degree in Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Material Sciences

    Ideal Candidate Profile:
    1. Early in graduate research career
    2. Connected to sport and fitness
    3. Open to cultivating a research collaboration between their research advisor, their current University laboratory, and Reebok HPEL.
