  • Research Assistant - Foot and Ankle Biomechanics - North Chicago, IL

    The Movement Analysis and Translational Science Laboratory at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science is accepting applications for a research assistant. We are seeking an individual interested in investigating the relationship between biomechanics and functional outcomes in people with foot and ankle pathologies. Our current project is a multidisciplinary study funded by the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (http://www.aofas.org/).

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    · Maintain laboratory and equipment
    · Coordinate study and laboratory needs
    · Assist in experimental set up and data acquisition
    · Data management, analyses, reduction and synthesis
    · Report generation and manuscript preparation

    Education, Skills, & Experience:
    Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical engineering, biomechanics, or equivalent degree is required. Must be able to work independently and with a team. Familiarity with motion capture / analysis, inverse dynamic calculations, MATLAB, and basic research/statistical methodology is preferred. A minimum of one year of rehabilitation related research experience is also preferred.
