Funding for one PhD assistantship in the Doctoral Program (PhD) in Education with a specialization in Exercise, Fitness, and Health Promotion (EFHP) is available in collaboration with the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center. We are seeking a highly-qualified individual that wants to attain their terminal degree at Virginia’s largest public research university.

Required Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Athletic Training, or related field
- Must hold a current fitness certification such as ACSM, ACE, NAMS, NCSA, AFFA, NASM, or NFPT
- CPR/AED certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the area of exercise prescription and intervention to general population, as well as behavioral/educational interventions.
