    OptiTrack, the world’s leader in precision motion capture and tracking systems seeks an exceptional Customer Support Engineer to help our customers in movement sciences, virtual reality, drones and robotics, and character animation.


    Providing exemplary technical customer care, installation, training and application advice via phone, online forums, email, and on-site at our customer’s labs, and studios.
    Front line incident management, investigation, solution and follow through with an emphasis on speed, quality and customer satisfaction.
    Assistance with pre-sales testing and demonstrations.
    In-house testing for suitability and system optimization for new applications.
    Creating long lasting relationships with our valued customers by providing timely, on-target and helpful solutions to our customer’s application questions.
    Up to 35% domestic and international travel.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    BSc or MSc in a technical discipline (e.g. ME, Biomechanics, other Engineering) – or equivalent experience.
    Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
    Previous experience with motion capture or 3D tracking hardware and software.
    Strong team player - possessing the willingness to seek feedback, adopt OptiTrack practices, and continuously learn, evolve and improve.
    Great technical acumen, proficiency with Windows based applications, networking.
    The ability to work safely on ladders, scissors lifts and other access equipment for installation of cameras and cabling.
    For remote positions, a quiet and professional workplace available in your home during normal working hours.

    Bonus Points for:

    Prior experience with Human Factors, Ergonomics, Biomechanics, Virtual-reality, drone or ground robot tracking and control algorithms, Matlab and/or character animation pipelines such as Maya, MotionBuilder.
    Additional language competency
    Proficiency with software programming or custom scripting in C++ and Python.
