    The Department of Kinesiology at Louisiana Tech University invites applicationsfor a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Kinesiology with an emphasis in Biomechanicswith support expertise in Exercise Physiology, Exercise and Sport Science, orMotor Control to begin as early as September 2017.

    Position:
    Assistant Professor. Tenure-track. Nine-month appointment.

    Faculty Responsibilities:

    • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Kinesiology.
    • Courses will include an emphasis in biomechanics, applied anatomy and kinesiology, laboratory techniques in sport performance, and mechanisms of sport injury and rehabilitation.
    • Mentoring graduate student directed research projects, graduate administrative duties, and curriculum development.
    • Conduct research.
    • Committee service at departmental, college, and/or university levels.

    Qualifications:
    • Candidate must have an earned doctoral degree in Kinesiology or related discipline, emphasis in biomechanics.
    • ABD applicants will be considered with the expectation that the doctorate will be completed within the first year of employment.
    • Successful candidates must show ability to develop a focused line of research, publish in relevant peer-reviewed journals, and a record of submitting proposals for internal or external funding.
    • A commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and scholarly productivity.
    • Willingness to work collaboratively with departmental research projects.
