The Department offers three Bachelor of Science degrees; Exercise & HealthPromotion, Health & Physical Education (K-12 NCATE accredited teachinglicensure program), and Kinesiology & Health Sciences, and a Master ofScience degree with concentrations in Administration of Sport and PhysicalActivity or Sports Performance. Faculty Responsibilities:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Kinesiology.
- Courses will include an emphasis in biomechanics, applied anatomy and kinesiology, laboratory techniques in sport performance, and mechanisms of sport injury and rehabilitation.
- Mentoring graduate student directed research projects, graduate administrative duties, and curriculum development.
- Conduct research.
- Committee service at departmental, college, and/or university levels.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have an earned doctoral degree in Kinesiology or related discipline, emphasis in biomechanics.
- ABD applicants will be considered with the expectation that the doctorate will be completed within the first year of employment.
- Successful candidates must show ability to develop a focused line of research, publish in relevant peer-reviewed journals, and a record of submitting proposals for internal or external funding.
- A commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and scholarly productivity.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with departmental research projects.
