The Neuromuscular & Rehabilitation Robotics (NeuRRo) lab (http://neurro-lab.engin.umich.edu/) and the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory (http://www.kines.umich.edu/research/nrl) at the University of Michigan are looking for a talented and highly motivated applicant for a postdoctoral research position. The candidate will lead NIH-funded clinical trials that seek to establish novel interventions to promote quadriceps strength and function after ACL injury and reconstruction.
The ideal candidate for this position should have substantial experience or strong interest in human subjects experiments related to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, EMG, Motion Capture, Strength Testing, etc. Programming experience (e.g., LabVIEW, Matlab), knowledge of signal processing, advanced statistics, and excellent writing skills are desired and would be highly beneficial for this position.
In addition to the technical skills outlined above, ideal candidates should have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and must be thriving in both a team and individual environment. Since the candidate will be leading the effort in these projects, he/she must also have strong organizational and communication skills.
