The Movement & Applied Imaging Lab within the Department of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training at Boston University has multiple openings for full-time doctoral students. The start date is flexible. The students will contribute to research investigating mechanisms underlying osteoarthritis and development of innovative rehabilitation interventions.
The students will enroll in the Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences program at the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College, Boston University. The positions are fully funded and include a stipend, and costs of tuition and fees. The Ph.D. program offers outstanding opportunities for motivated candidates to build an inter-disciplinary skill set that will position them to embark upon a successful research career.

The lab is equipped with a 3-D motion capture system, multiple force platforms, wireless EMG system, IMU devices, and a strength testing dynamometer for the study of biomechanics. The lab also offers opportunities to develop hands-on skills with mobile health technologies, musculoskeletal MR imaging, and clinical trials.
