    Investigators from the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine at The University of Melbourne are actively seeking a MPhil/PhD student with a background in exercise science/kinesiology/physiotherapy/science/biomedical or mechanical engineering/biomedical science, or related field with an interest in exercise as a treatment for people with knee osteoarthritis. The project will investigate the effects of exercise on knee joint loading in people with knee osteoarthritis using the latest, most innovative biomechanical models.

    The Centre of Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine boasts a strong multi-disciplinary team including academics and clinicians with expertise in physiotherapy, biomechanics, exercise science, engineering, podiatry and biostatistics. Our main research focus is on the role of conservative strategies, particularly exercise, in promoting overall health and wellbeing and in preventing and managing musculoskeletal conditions. Our personnel, combined with world-class facilities will ensure you have the opportunity for an unparalleled research experience in the world’s most liveable city, Melbourne, Australia.
